President Trump signaled willingness to examine the conviction of Keonne Rodriguez, amid heightened scrutiny of crypto privacy tools and legal challenges facing their developers.
During a Monday press conference, U.S. President Donald Trump said he would look into the case of Keonne Rodriguez, co-founder of Samourai Wallet, who was recently convicted for involvement with a crypto mixing protocol. Rodriguez was sentenced to five years for illegal money transmission, while co-founder William Hill received four years. Both pleaded guilty in July after initially denying the charges.
