Ethereum’s mainnet ended 2025 with sustained activity, recording a 7-day average of 1.87 million transactions on Dec. 31, exceeding the previous peak of 1.61 million from May 2021. Active addresses reached 728,904, while new addresses surged by 270,160 in a single day. These figures reflect strong adoption driven by recent network upgrades lowering fees and improving scalability, alongside growing institutional interest in Ethereum-focused ETFs and real-world asset tokenization.
