Ubisoft suspended Rainbow Six Siege’s online services after a massive hack distributed billions of R6 coins and rare items to players, affecting gameplay and marketplace integrity.
Ubisoft halted Rainbow Six Siege’s online services on December 28, 2024, after hackers exploited a breach to give every player 2 billion R6 coins valued at around $13.33 million. The intrusion, confirmed via X on December 27, also awarded rare in-game items and allowed hackers to manipulate messaging and issue bans. Ubisoft paused both servers and the in-game marketplace while fixing the exploit.
