Standard Chartered plans to launch a crypto prime brokerage for institutional investors through its SC Ventures arm, according to Bloomberg. The service would provide custody, lending, trade execution, and settlement capabilities, expanding the bank’s digital asset infrastructure footprint. The initiative remains in early development with no confirmed start date. This venture follows Standard Chartered’s investments in Zodia Custody for secure digital asset storage and Zodia Markets for institutional crypto trading.
