Binance Co-Founders CZ and He Yi Invest Tens of Millions in Genius Trading

YZi Labs, the venture capital firm run by Binance co-founders Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and He Yi, announced an investment of tens of millions of dollars in Genius, a high-speed, privacy-oriented on-chain trading platform for professional DeFi traders. In a January 13 statement, YZi Labs confirmed CZ will serve as an advisor to accelerate Genius’s platform development. Genius supports over 10 blockchain networks and has handled $60 million in test trades, with plans to publicly launch its multi-chain privacy protocol in Q2 2026. CZ stressed that Genius operates as a trading terminal rather than competing with Aster.
