Makina reports an Ethereum-based hack affecting its DUSD/USDC Curve pool, with $5.1M lost and remediation steps underway as clues to hacker’s identity emerge.
On Jan. 21, Makina reported that a hack on the Ethereum network caused a $5,107,871 USDC loss in the Curve DUSD/USDC pool. Only liquidity providers in that pool were impacted. Makina stated it has clues about the hacker’s identity and is advising affected users to withdraw single-sided into DUSD. Redemption functions are being reactivated as part of recovery measures.
