American Bitcoin, majority-owned by Hut 8 and partly by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, increased reserves to 5,843 BTC, achieving 116% yield since Nasdaq debut despite bitcoin price weakness.
American Bitcoin Corp, backed by members of the Trump family and majority-owned by Hut 8, raised its Bitcoin holdings to approximately 5,843 BTC, making it the 18th-largest corporate holder globally. The miner achieved a Bitcoin yield of around 116% from its Nasdaq debut on September 3, 2025, through January 25, 2026, reflecting strong accumulation during volatile market conditions. Shares rose about 2% in premarket trading Tuesday but remain down roughly 11% year-to-date. The company, which spun out of Hut 8’s mining operations after merging with Gryphon Digital Mining, has grown reserves by over 1,800 BTC since Q3 2025 as it and other miners increasingly hold Bitcoin as a long-term asset.
