Tether, issuer of the USDT stablecoin, reported around $15 billion profit in 2025 with total assets of $187 billion, including U.S. Treasuries, Bitcoin, and gold. CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that stablecoins are entering mainstream finance, supported by the GENIUS Act. Tether now holds more U.S. Treasuries than South Korea, with USDT seeing widespread use in emerging markets. The company’s diversification includes investments in satellites, data centers, and telecommunications alongside its core digital asset operations.
