Ethereum researcher Thomas Thieriot has proposed EIP-7805, known as Forkchoice Enforced Inclusion (FOCIL), for the Hegota upgrade to mitigate block builder centralization and enhance network neutrality.
Ethereum researcher Thomas Thieriot introduced the Forkchoice Enforced Inclusion (FOCIL) proposal, designated EIP-7805, on July 27 as part of the upcoming Hegota upgrade. The proposal seeks to lower centralization risks in the block builder market and ensure Ethereum remains a decentralized and neutral infrastructure for on-chain transactions. FOCIL aims to allow validator coordination in enforcing transaction inclusion, thereby strengthening censorship resistance and network trustworthiness within Ethereum’s consensus layer.
