Kraken has reassigned its former CFO shortly before a planned public debut, while implementing wider leadership changes during a period of major fundraising and regulatory preparation.
Kraken removed its Chief Financial Officer, Stephanie Lemmerman, after 14 months in the role as the exchange prepares for a U.S. public listing. Lemmerman, who joined from Dapper Labs in November 2024, now holds a strategic advisory role. Robert Moore, previously VP of business expansion, has effectively assumed her duties and is listed as deputy CFO on parent company Payward Inc.’s leadership page. The change follows Kraken’s November confidential SEC filing and its $800 million fundraising at a $20 billion valuation, including $200 million from Citadel Securities. Other senior appointments include Curtis Ting as COO in December and Kamo Asatryan as Chief Data Officer in January. Sources indicated Kraken aims to reshape its finance department into more of a product-oriented function.
