Braden Karony, the former CEO of SafeMoon, has been sentenced to 100 months in prison for embezzling millions in investor funds. Karony, convicted of securities fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering, used the funds for personal luxury purchases. This sentencing follows a trial in which Karony was found guilty of manipulating the SafeMoon token price and misappropriating over $9 million. His co-defendant Thomas Smith pleaded guilty to related charges earlier in February, while Kyle Nagy remains at large.
