Payward, parent of Kraken, acquires Magna to integrate its high-value token management tools into institutional services, enhancing capabilities for over 160 clients ahead of a possible IPO.
Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, has completed the acquisition of Magna, a token management platform specializing in vesting and distribution tools. Magna, which serves more than 160 clients and reached a peak total value locked of $60 billion in 2025, will continue operating independently while its services are incorporated into Kraken’s institutional suite. The move strengthens Kraken’s product offerings for institutional clients and aligns with its broader expansion strategy, potentially supporting a future IPO.
