VanEck and Basic Capital said digital asset ETFs will be added to U.S. 401(k) plans, but the firms did not specify which products will be included in the retirement offering.
VanEck and Basic Capital are partnering to add digital asset exchange-traded funds to U.S. 401(k) retirement plans through Basic Capital’s platform. Unlike earlier descriptions of the offering, the firms did not specify which VanEck products will be included. VanEck’s current digital asset ETF lineup includes a spot Bitcoin ETF, a spot Ethereum ETF, and an Onchain Economy ETF, and it also launched a spot Avalanche ETF earlier this year. The partnership targets the large U.S. employer-sponsored retirement market and would give plan participants access to crypto-related exposure through regulated fund products rather than direct token ownership.
